Big Bang Boom performed for the Pre-K and First Grade
classes at Petree Elementary School in celebration of The Week of the Young
Child. Students and teachers were dancing and having a great time.
As the guys in the band like to say, “There’s no sitting
down at a Big Bang Boom show!”
Students were interacting with the band as they sang songs
about everything from animal sounds to how many syllables were in their names!
The show ended with a Hokey Pokey challenge between students and teachers. The
results were close, but the teachers won!
Quote from Nartasha Kimbrough (Pre-K teacher): “What a
wonderful day at Petree Elementary School! Big Bang Boom rocked the house for
our Pre-K through first grade students.”
Big Bang Boom, which was founded in 2007 in Greensboro, is a rockin’ three- piece power
pop band that consists of talented artists and long-time musicians Chuck
Folds, Steve Williard, and Eddie Walker.
But this musical trio doesn’t play just any ole’ average
music….These dynamic dads play parent-friendly,
educational children’s music! That’s right!
Big Bang Boom is blowin’ up the Kindie Music world with three full-length albums, two bonus albums, and another album in production. Their song titled “Monster Under the Bed” won grand prize in the 2011 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and they wrote and performed the music for the WFMY's Emmy Award Winning Community Service program, Read 2 Succeed!
On Stage is how Big Bang Boom shines best! You may have seen them performing on the prestigious Kidzapalooza stage at Lollapalooza, the Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF), The Tosco Music Party, Musikfest, Hangout Festival and the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 Speed Street Festival, or at any of the countless libraries (Yes, they are LOUD in the library!), schools, performing arts centers, and other events around the United States! For years, BIG BANG BOOM has even sponsored a Rock Star Summer Camp at several North Carolina Children’s Museums!!!
Listen to Big Bang Boom on Kindiecast, Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl, and Spare the Rock Spoil the Child.
