Students at Moore Elementary Make Valentine's Cards for Families at the Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House on Hawthorne Road serves families who have children staying in the hospital.

With Valentine’s Day on the way, it sent out this invitation:

Make this Valentine’s Day special for our families and send Love! Reading a Valentine reminds our families how much support they have within our community.Gather your family and friends to make 5, 50, or 500 Valentines for families with children receiving medical care!

The students in Donna Parris’ first-grade class at Moore Elementary School, which is about 1.5 miles away from the Ronald McDonald House, thought that was a great idea, and, on Friday, they made Valentine’s cards.

One of the parents who participated in the project was Jennifer Estes, who is ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at Moore and Vienna. Her daughter, Quinn, is a student in Parris’ class.

On Monday, Quinn, her younger brother Evan, and Estes delivered the Valentine’s cards to the Ronald McDonald House.
