The He and Me Dance at Rural Hall Elementary

On Friday, Feb. 23, Rural Hall Elementary School held its first-ever He and Me Dance.

The dance featured a live DJ, photo booth, and refreshments for students and their guests. The He and Me Dance was put together by the PTA Special Events committee. The intention of the dance was to create a fun and meaningful event that would allow fathers or any adult male figure to have a special evening with their special girl.

The idea goes hand-in-hand with a program that is already in place at Rural Hall called Watch Dogs. Similar to this program, school administrators and the PTA are looking to create more opportunities for fathers or father figures to get involved in school activities with their children. The He and Me Dance allowed girls at the school to dress up, dance, and create positive memories with that important male figure in their lives.

At Rural Hall Elementary, they’re planning on it being the start of a new tradition.
Parent Zack "TJ" James Jr., who is the Production Associate at Cable 2was there and sent us some pictures.
