Students Compete in Region V Science Fair


Benika Thompson, the Director of Science K-12 for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS), sent this release about the N.C. Region V Science Fair:

This past weekend, 15 of our WS/FCS Young Scientists competed at the N.C. Region V Science Fair. They competed against students from public, private, charter, and home-schools from over 14 N.C. counties. 

Below are the WS/FCS Students who placed at Region V. An asterisk denotes students who will advance to the state level competition in March.

Aaron Petty*/Atkins A &T- Senior Division (1st Place Chem), US Navy and Marine Corps. Office of Naval Research Science Award Recipient

Isabel Wall/Paisley IB Magnet- Senior Division (3rd Place E/E)
