North Forsyth Students Attend Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

This comes from Teryn Hynning, a Health Science Teacher and the Magnet/NAF Coordinator at North Forsyth High School:

“Just wanted to share how AMAZING our NAF students did today (Thursday) at the Chamber of Commerce 40 under 40 luncheon.”

“The speaker today was Julie Frieschlag the CEO of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was unbelievable and one of the best speakers I've ever heard. The kids were amazed as well. A large part of her discussion was about being brave.”

“At the end, she invited the audience to ask questions. Guess who was the first to raise their hands? OUR STUDENTS! Talk about being brave :) She was pretty darn impressed. I also happened to sit next to the Assistant Director of WFU Career and Professional Development. She is extremely excited about all that is happening at North and would love to be involved in some capacity. I will be setting up a time for us to meet with her. More to come on that.”

“Lastly, huge thanks to Ms. McDuffie and Ms. Beckner for watching our students so that we could attend! You are absolutely amazing. The kids who stayed back couldn't have been more excited when I told them you were going to be with them.”
