On
Thursday, May 11, Bookmarks will hold its Summer Reading Kickoff Party.
“We
will have free pizza, games and crafts for kids, and we will announce most of
our children's authors for the festival,” said Rachel Kuhn Stinehelfer, the education
and program specialist for Bookmarks.
“Our
Summer Reading booklets (geared for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade) will
be given out that day so kids can begin choosing the books they want to read
this summer. Whitaker, Summit, and several schools are using Bookmarks as
the school summer reading program.”
The
party is schedule for 5 to 7 p.m. at the William G. White Family YMCA at 775
