Students in the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism at Carver Attend Chamber of Commerce Meeting

On Friday, students participating in the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism at Carver High, the Academy of Finance at East Forsyth High, the Construction and Design Academy at John F. Kennedy High and the ProStart Academy at Kennedy attended the annual meeting of the Greater Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, which was held downtown in the Grand Pavilion Ballroom of Embassy Suites.

Superintendent Beverly Emory joined them there.

Dewayne Tillman, the coordinator of the Carver academy, said, “Our academy students were dressed to impress in their new academy blazers. They had a chance to network and meet a host of influential people/businesses.

“They even met Virginia Foxx, Member of Congress, North Carolina 5th District.”
