Special Olympics Spring Games Going on at Wake Forest University

The Thursday, April 24 issue of the Winston-Salem Journal has photos by Journal photographer David Rolfe of the Special Olympics Forsyth County Spring Games at Wake Forest University.

In one photo, Colton Berry of Rural Hall Elementary School crawls through a rainbow tunnel during the opening day on Wednesday. In another, Brodie Douglass of Ward Elementary School kicks a giant soccer ball.

More than 800 elementary school students from 25 schools and 500 volunteers are participating in the annual Spring Games, being held through Friday. Events continue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Friday.
