WS/FC High School Students Raise Money to Fight Cancer

Six teams from five Winston-Salem/Forsyth County high schools helped raise more than $70,000 to help find cures for cancers.

At Reynolds High, Team Demons for the Cure – led by Libby Bowen and Winborne Broughton – raised more than $10,000.

The fundraising drive was sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The other participating teams were:

West Forsyth: Making Cancer Feel the Burn, led by Leanna Bernish &  Remember the Titan, led by Bruno Gonzalez

East Forsyth: Team Cut Out Cancer, led by McKenzie Landis

Atkins Academic & Technology High: Together by Blood, led by Elizabeth Salazar-Garcia

Reagan: Cure Raiders, led by John Riley Stone
