The Spirit of Giving at Winston-Salem Prep

This comes to us from Aretha Jones-Moultrie, who works with Secondary Transitions Support for the school system:

“I am pleased to share that a group of students from Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy had an amazing Prom experience. This is because of the diligent work by Ms. Denise Cloud and Ms. Amanda Simmons.”

Simmons is a job coach with the school system’s Transition Department. She and Cloud participate in the We Care Project.

Working with people in the community, they made sure that a number of students at Winston-Salem Prep - all of them honor students – had prom tickets, a gown or tuxedo and shoes, a haircut or hair style and make-up, dinner at Arigato's, and photos.

Ms. Lavonda Floyd, an administrative assistant at WSPA) and Jones-Moultrie helped to coordinate the event.
