Five High School Students Receive Scholarships from Center for Smart Financial Choices



The Center for Smart Financial Choices has announced the high school students who are winners of the 2018 Keener Financial Education Scholarships.

They are:
  • $1000 Youth Award - Devontae Harrison, East Forsyth High
  • $1000 Youth Award - Kianna Jackson, Atkins Academic & Technology High 
  • $1000 Youth Award - Ricardo Barahona, Mount Tabor High 
  • $1000 Youth Award - Evelyn Marin-Sanchez, North Forsyth High 
  • $2000 Hispanic/Latino Award - Alondra Ramirez, Reagan High

The winners were announced at a celebration at the Footnote Café attended by more than 120 community members, educators, families, and friends. Don Martin, a Forsyth County Commissioner presented the awards.

The Center for Smart Financial Choices (CFSFC) was established in 2011 as a non-profit organization designed to provide financial education courses that help individuals find out what their habits and attitudes are towards money and the things they value most in life and guides them to accomplish their financial goals.
