Morgan Elementary Battle of the Books Team Places Second in the Regionals

On Wednesday, the Elementary Battle of the Books team at Morgan Elementary School placed second in the regional competition.

This was the first year that the school had a team, and it placed first in the district.

“This was a tough competition,” said head coach Lisa England. “Each team had double rounds. We played each other twice during the day. Questions ranged from moderate to very difficult and there were only ten questions per round: five for each team, unless one was missed and the other team had a chance for a redirect.

“The kids held their own and pushed through some difficult situations! Very proud of them!”
