North Forsyth Collects 276 Pints in Blood Drive

On March 2, the Nursing Fundamentals/Health Sciences program at North Forsyth High School held its annual blood drive.

Here’s what Kelli Doby, the registered nurse who oversees the Nursing Fundamentals program, had to say:

“Thank you all!

“North Forsyth High School saved 276 lives today. This could not have been achieved without your support.  I know the blood drive day is a crazy day. I really do appreciate your patience. It seemed a little more chaotic today than usual, but it still was a fantastic success. I especially want to thank the donors as well as those that were planning to donate, but were not able to.

“Each semester we set new goals for this drive. Each year we also work toward a scholarship for one of the students. This year we have achieved both. We have secured a $2,500 college scholarship for a qualified North Forsyth Nursing Fundamentals student. This is the largest scholarship we have ever been eligible for from the Red Cross.  Again, this would not have happened without you.”

“Thank you again for all your support!”
