On Friday, the soccer teams at Easton Elementary had a dress
parade to showcase the members of the team before the game later in the
day.
Wearing their jerseys, the members of the six teams walked the
halls of the school for the staff and students to cheer them on before the
game.
In an announcement to
staff members before the parade, Leon Gray, the third-grade teacher who started
the league, said, “I really think this will be a great way to get the students
and staff excited about the competition so that they will want to come out
and watch the matches and those matches to follow.”
“Thanks for all of your
support with the establishment of these teams. Our students are
excited about this club and having the opportunity to play a sport they
love!”
Each Friday for the next two weeks, teams will compete. Sponsors bought the uniforms for members of the six teams.
