County Schools is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the consolidation of the city and county
school systems. As part of that, we’re recognizing people who are a product of
the school system who now work for the school system.
Susan Van Hoy, who graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1983, teaches first grade at Middle Fork Elementary School. She attended
Walkertown elementary and junior high schools before going to Carver and then to
East. She began working for the school
system in 2007.
“I remember all my teachers as
hardworking and caring,” Van Hoy said. “It has been a pleasure to be able to
teach in the same school district I grew up in. We have great students and
great staff not only at Middle Fork but throughout the school district.”
